Termites are tricky animals, they can gain access to your home
in many ways. Tiny cracks in your foundation of 1/32 inch is all
a termite needs to penetrate your home. Parkway offers different
treatment methods depending on each individual structure.
Parkway's chemical treatment is the most efficient way to control
termites. Your home will be protected from all sides with FMC's
Dragnet Termiticide which is safe for the environment and extremely
long lasting.
The alternative to chemical treatment is the state of the art
FMC First Line Termite Baiting System. Termite baits are the most
innovative product on the market. Termite baiting is fast becoming
the wave of the future and Parkway has their finger on the pulse
of technology.
In the past the premise behind termite control was to repel termites
from a structure by treating the soil along the foundation walls
of any structure. This idea has proven to be successful and gives
great results but now there are alternatives to this method.
Baiting for termites does not require the application of any
chemical around a structure, thus reducing the amount of pesticide
exposure you and your family will encounter. Parkway's baiting
system is an all inclusive package which includes several steps:
- Step one: A Parkway certified termite inspector will
visit the premises to determine the proper location and amount
of Termite Bait Stations required to protect your home. (Each
structure is different, that is why step one is so important.)
- Step two: Once the calculations have been made a Parkway
certified termite technician will visit the premises and install
the Termite Bait Stations as specified by the termite inspector.
- Step three: Parkway will visit the premises periodically
within the first two months after treatment to monitor for termite
"hits" on the monitors. Once a "hit" has
been found FMC First Line GT bait will replace the monitor and
the termites will begin feeding on the treated material.
- Step four: After the initial baiting Parkway will visit
the premises on a more frequent time frame to ensure proper
feeding and available bait is not depleted.
- Step five: Parkway will continue monitoring and baiting
procedures as necessary for a two year time period. When the
two year period is over the current owner will have the option
of renewing their monitoring service for a small percentage
of the original treatment cost.
Contacting Parkway as soon as possible will allow us to send
a certified inspector free of charge immediately to discuss with
you the options available to protect your home.
